Mark Kastel to Keynote ACRES U.S.A. ConferenceOctober 25th, 2013
Cornucopia Codirector Mark Kastel will deliver a keynote at the 2013 ACRES U.S.A. Conference & Trade Show, one of the premier events worldwide for commercial-scale sustainable and organic agriculture. “Ecological Farming for the Real World” is the theme of this year’s event, to be held December 12-14 in Springfield, Illinois, with an optional pre-conference intensive December 10-11.
The ACRES Conference features dozens of speakers covering all facets of eco-agriculture along with about 100 eco-suppliers exhibiting the latest non-toxic agricultural technology and products.
Master consultants/teachers and farmers also will hold small-group sessions on such topics as innovative farm marketing, organic certification, biodynamic farming, and composting. The other keynoters are Russ Kremer, founder of the Ozark Mountain Pork Cooperative, and Jo Robinson, author of the bestseller Eating on the Wild Side.
Last year about 1,500 people came from 49 states and 22 foreign countries to attend this one-of-a-kind gathering of eco-agriculture’s leading minds and practitioners.
Register by October 31 and receive a coupon for free conference audio CDs. The conference is sponsored by ACRES U.S.A., North America’s oldest, largest publication serving commercial-scale organic/sustainable farmers, now in its 42nd year.
