Cornucopia’s director of international policy Anne Ross continues to gain recognition for her investigation into fraudulent organic imports on behalf of organic farmers and consumers. Before and during her presentation at the 40th anniversary EcoFarm Conference, Ross participated in two podcasts that amplified her cogent, accessible voice to listeners who care deeply about how their food is produced and labeled.

Digging into international supply chains is laborious, dispiriting work. But it inspires Ross’ fierce advocacy. As she pointed out in one of her podcast interviews, fraud does not represent the entire organic market. Implored Ross, “We have to protect our ethical organic farmers.”

Ross is featured 28 minutes into the podcast. Her interview follows a Q&A with the Kansas City Star reporter who profiled Randy Constant, the Missouri farmer who “bamboozled consumers” in one of the largest cases of fraud in the history of US agriculture.
