Cornucopia’s Take:  One of Cornucopia’s allies in the good food movement, Food Animal Concerns Trust, is now taking applications for their annual grant for livestock and poultry farmers.

FACT

Food Animal Concerns Trust (FACT) is offering two types of grants for livestock and poultry farmers who want to obtain humane certification or who want to expand their animals’ access to pasture. Up to $2,500 is available for projects that improve farm animal welfare, such as building hoop houses, constructing fences, laying water lines on pasture, and much more. Applications are due by December 4, 2017.
