Are you passionate about organic food and farming?
Are you inspired by the immense challenges of the current moment?
Are you excited to lend your skills to an evolving organization?

The Cornucopia Institute is looking for committed volunteer leaders to join our dynamic board of directors. As the premier organic industry watchdog in the US, Cornucopia exists to protect and promote authentic organic agriculture as an essential alternative to the industrialized food system. Volunteer to work toward Cornucopia’s vision for tomorrow.

Cornucopia is led by a committed board of fearless and visionary farmers and industry professionals. We are seeking new board members with experience and/or training in non-profit board roles and functions, and those connected to consumers and other stakeholders in the organic marketplace, foundations, and underserved communities.

Cornucopia board members are actively involved in organizational governance and expected to attend board meetings, make a personal financial contribution, and engage in fundraising activities. Help spearhead Cornucopia’s strategic direction, while guiding board process and policies, as Cornucopia evolves to meet the challenges of the current time. Please read more about the role and responsibilities of directors.

The Cornucopia Board of Directors will be gathering in northern Michigan from September 7 through 8 to learn more about fundraising and to strategize. New board members will be expected to attend this meeting, and The Cornucopia Institute will pay for travel, food, and lodging.

Submit your application to the board by July 1, 2022. By joining our team, you will champion integrity in organic food, while shepherding our small (but mighty!) non-profit into a future that is prosperous for all.
