Old Friends Farm

Old Friends Farm raises organic laying hens on rotated pasture. The hens are free to exhibit their natural behavior outdoors on pasture year-round, with 10 square feet per bird of outdoor space.

They write:

Old Friends Farm is proud of our feathered employees- for their beautiful and delicious eggs, and their companionship. They also play a key role in the fertility of the farm. Every five days they are moved to a new spot of the pasture- they eat lots of grass and insects and "pay rent" as they "go". The eggs have deep orange yolk color, a rich flavor, and a loyal customer following.
